Alistair got the cool part of the story, while little ol’ Bri got stuck in the basement. The End.
Haha! Fooled you! I got to do some adventuring, just no sword fighting. I’m not particularly good with all that ritual stuff. Heck, until I read Alistair’s post, I didn’t even know there was a ritual.
So, I was stuck with barred up windows in a freakin basement. Ugh. Who has a basement anyway? I mean, this is California. The only need people have for a basement is to have the whole building come crashing down on them in an earthquake, or drown in a flash flood. Totally worthless.
Anyway, I decided to try out my handy dandy EMP gun once again, to see if maybe the electronics would reset or something. It served to leave me not only trapped, but in the dark. Smooth move.
So, I tried the stairs. In Case of Emergency, right? I tried the first floor, but the door was locked. I tried each door all the way up to the top (it was a three story building with a basement). The top door, surprisingly, had a tiny window with no metal bars. It lead to the roof. It was still locked, but I thought if I broke the window, I could probably squeeze through. So, I took off my hoodie and wrapped the butt of my EMP gun in it, then slammed the window as hard as I could. The glass cracked. I had to slam five more time to get it to break.
I crawled through the window and landed on the gravely roof with a loud THUMP. I hoped that all the vampires were out sword fighting or whatever.
There were no trees reaching to the roof of the building, just a bunch of shrubs. I took a chance, gritted my teeth and dived. I crashed into the shrubbery with a loud crunching sound. It hurt. I decided to relax in the twigs and branches for a bit, just to get my bearings.
“What an entrance,” someone said above me.

question, probably one you heard before. how long have you been a vampire? how di you become one?
Hi Kat! Sorry for the long response time.
I’ve only been a vampire for a year (ish).
I think Al would freak out if I told you how I became one. I looked back in our archives and so far I haven’t said. I think I can tell you that there is a lot of blood involved.
I’ll check with Al and see if there’s more I can say.
